Local tip
Don't overlook the hybrid stripers — pound for pound they out-fight largemouth and school over the deep basin in fall and winter. Find shad on electronics and troll a 1 oz chrome Rat-L-Trap or cast a flutter spoon beneath the school. In Oct–Nov, hybrids crash bait on the surface near the pier at first light — the action rivals saltwater.
