When to Throw
Good Water
Cold, clear water with baitfish around — pre-spawn, late fall, winter warm-ups. Suspended fish, slick or lightly rippled surface, sun on the water.
Bad Water
Muddy water, heavy matted cover, or fish glued to the bottom that won't rise. Big wind that prevents you from working slack line.
Depth & Size Selection
Shallow · Deep · Finesse
Megabass Ito Vision 110 family
Match the model to the depth you need. The 110 runs the top of the column, the 110+1 and 110+2 reach down to suspended fish, and the Junior shrinks the profile for pressured or finicky bites.

Megabass Vision 110
Shallow
0–6 ft · grass tops, docks, shallow rock, laydowns, flats
Run just over cover and make fish rise to it

Megabass Vision 110+1 / 110+2
Deep
7 ft+ · clear water, deeper points, bluff ends, suspended fish, smallmouth/spots
Get the bait closer before the pause

Megabass Vision 110 Jr.
Finesse
Small bait, pressured fish, short-strikers
Clear water, calm days, cold fronts, tough bites
Color Selection
Clarity · Light · Forage · Attitude
One representative bait per category

Cadence System
Cold · Active · After a Miss
Three cadences cover the season
Let water temperature and fish mood set the rhythm. When a fish swipes and misses, switch to the injured-bait cadence on the next cast.
Winter / Early Spring
Cold Water
Twitch… twitch… pause
Pause 3–10s+. Watch the line — if it jumps or swims off, reel down and lean.
Fall / Active Fish
Fast & Aggressive
Twitch, twitch, pause — repeat fast
1–2s pause. Make fish chase and commit before they inspect.
After a Miss
Injured Bait
One hard rip… pause. One hard rip… pause.
Looks like the baitfish got wounded — use after swipes, followers, short strikes.
Suspend Tuning
Make the bait hang dead-still
A jerkbait only works if it suspends. Tune each bait before fishing it.
Storm Suspend Strips
Suspend Strips
Bait floats badly
Stick to the belly. Too much weight makes it sink too fast.
Lead Wire
Lead Wire
Fine-tune the rate
Wrap front or middle hook shank. Never the bend or point.
Sufix Advance 12 lb Fluoro
12 lb Fluoro
Line affects depth
Lighter = deeper, better suspension. Heavier = higher. 12 lb is the sweet spot.
Where to Throw Each
Submerged Grass
Cast across hydrilla/milfoil tops and tick the bait just above cover.
Laydowns & Wood
Parallel cast and work it down the length.
Rocky Banks & Points
Pause after deflections and over high-percentage breaks.
Docks & Piers
Work down the sides. Pause to let fish come out and eat.
Open Water / Suspended Fish
Long casts, count down, match bait depth to fish depth.
