When to Throw
Good Water
Pressured fish, clear-to-stained water, post-front, docks, bluegill spawn, suspended/inactive fish, calm conditions where a subtle fall triggers reactive bites.
Bad Water
Heavy matted vegetation, strong wind that kills line watching, when fish are aggressively chasing bait and want a faster reaction lure.

Gary Yamamoto 5" Senko + VMC Weedless Neko Hook + Crossover Ring
Slide a 6mm O-ring around the egg sack and hook through the ring. Cast, let it fall on slack line, and watch for ticks or line jumps. Skip under docks and overhanging trees, then shake-and-pause to draw a follow into a bite.

Where to Throw Each
Boat Docks / Posts
Wacky: skip underneath. Neko: drop vertical alongside posts.
Grass Lines / Lily Pad Edges
Both rigs. Neko stands up between blades — shake through tangles.
Wood Laydowns
Wacky: skip tight to the log. Neko: drag slowly along the trunk.
Overhanging Trees / Shade
Wacky primary — skip as far up under the canopy as possible.
Rocks / Hard Bottom
Neko only. Drag slowly so the Z-Man stands between rocks.
Suspended / Inactive Fish
Calm water, cold front — let the bait sit in their face.
