When to Throw
Good Water
Low light — dawn, dusk, overcast, night. Shallow flats, sparse to moderate grass, pad lanes, muddy or stained water, warm summer water.
Bad Water
Bright bluebird midday. Gin-clear water with high sun. Heavy wind chop that buries the blade. Cold water below the buzzbait's window.
Buzzbait System
Two core buzzbaits + three specialty tones
Booyah Squelcher (white) is the daytime and clean-water anchor. BOOYAH Buzz (black clacker) is the low-light and stained-water anchor. Add the Tri-Wing when you need more noise, the War Eagle as a clacker backup, and the classic Lunker Lure squeak when fish have heard the newer styles all day.

Shallow flats, sparse grass, pad edges in low light. Oversized S-curved blade throws a high-pitched squawk and generates extra lift — sheds vegetation with the 7mm bead and lets you slow-roll without sinking.
02 · BOOYAH Buzz (clacker) 3/8 oz
★ Black low-light anchor
Low light, stained water, night. Clacker blade throws more sound and stronger silhouette than the Squelcher — go-to when fish find the bait by feel, not sight. Planes fast, runs true out of the package.

Extra noise
Triple-blade design puts out more disturbance than any single blade. Pulls fish from a distance in dirty water or current.
04 · War Eagle Buzzbait
Clacker backup
Clacker style similar to BOOYAH Buzz. Reliable stainless wire, consistent blade rotation at slow speeds. Solid all-around backup.
05 · Lunker Lure Buzzbait
Classic squeak
Original squeaky single blade. Old-school high-pitched sound signature — different tone than the deeper clackers, worth a throw when fish have seen them all day.
Cadence
Never-stop retrieve, three speeds
Cast and engage immediately — before the bait lands, or the instant it touches down. Default is slow-to-medium steady, just fast enough to keep the blade ticking. Burn it around isolated cover or on active fish for reflex strikes. Slow-roll for tough bites — the minimum speed that still keeps the blade turning. Never stop mid-retrieve; any pause sinks the bait. On a miss or short follow, hold the same speed — consistency draws the second strike. On repeated short follows, change the look with a brief burst of speed rather than slowing down.
Color & Size Selection
Match color to light and clarity, size to wind
White/silver for shad and daytime clear water. Black for night, stained, and low-light. Chartreuse for muddy water. 3/8 oz is the everyday size — drop to 1/4 oz on calmer water, bump to 1/2 oz on wind and distance days. Where to Throw Each
Shallow Flats
Sparse-to-moderate grass, main search water for cruising fish.
Pad Lanes
Cast down open seams between pads and keep the bait in the lane.

Run the bait just off the outside edge where fish stage.

Black or chartreuse — lean on sound over sight.
